Reserve items to avoid duplicates and know who gives what.
Reserve a gift
Indicate you will give this item.
Steps
- Open a list shared with you
- Browse the gifts
- Click "Reserve" on a free item
- Confirm your reservation
- The item is marked as reserved by you
- Others see who reserved it (or not, depending on settings)
Cancel a reservation
Release an item you had reserved.
Steps
- Go to "My reservations"
- Find the item to cancel
- Click "Cancel reservation"
- Confirm
- The item becomes available again for others
Reservation statuses
Understand the different statuses.
Details
- Free: nobody has reserved this item
- Reserved by [username]: someone reserved it
- Given: this item has already been given
- Available: you can reserve it
- Your reservation: you are the one who reserved
Reservation privacy
Control who sees your reservations.
Steps
- In "Karnet settings", go to "Reservations"
- Choose: "Show reservers" (public) or "Hide reservers" (private)
- Public: everyone sees who reserves what
- Private: only you and the manager see reservations
