The easy way: copy the URL

From a product page, copy the page address and paste it into the URL field when adding a gift. The site tries to fetch the title, image, description and price. If the site blocks automatic reading, the URL is still added as the first source.

🧩 Browser extension (Chrome, Brave, Edge)

The extension integrates directly into your browser. With one click, it extracts the exact product title, price, currency, and image from any shopping site (Fnac, Amazon, Lego, Vinted, etc.), bypassing anti-bot shields.

In Chrome or your Chromium browser, go to chrome://extensions and turn on Developer mode (top right).
Click “Load unpacked” and select the extension folder of the Karnet project.
The extension is ready to use and pre-configured for karnet.be with no manual setup needed.
On any online store, click the Karnet icon or right-click to add the product!

Browser bookmarklet

The bookmarklet reads information directly from your browser. This is useful for sites that block the server, since you are already viewing the real product page.

Add the generic bookmarklet

Click the button above to add it to your bookmarks.
Open a product page.
Click the "generic bookmarklet" bookmark.
Choose the karnet or create a new one.
Check the form then save the gift.

Android: share to the PWA

On Android with Chrome, install Karnet as an app. Then, from a product page, use the Share menu and choose Karnet. The site will receive the URL and ask which karnet to add the gift to.

Open Karnet in Chrome Android.
Chrome menu, then "Add to Home screen" or "Install app".
Open a product page.
Share, then choose Karnet.

This option depends on Web Share Target support in the browser. It is primarily designed for Android/Chrome.

iPhone/iPad: iOS shortcut

Safari iOS does not offer Karnet as a PWA share target like Android. The best alternative is to install an iOS shortcut shared via iCloud. Once installed, it appears in the share sheet and sends the product URL to Karnet.

Create the shortcut manually

The iCloud link for the shortcut is not yet configured. Once the shortcut is created and shared from your iPhone, add its URL in ios_shortcut_url in the configuration.

Install the shortcut via the iCloud link.
From a product page: Share, then "Add to Karnet".
Karnet opens and asks which karnet to add the gift to.

To create the shortcut to share via iCloud, use the actions below in order. Then in Shortcuts, open the shortcut, tap Share, then "Copy iCloud link".

Universal configuration (browsers and apps)

Add the action "Get URLs from Shortcut Input".
Add the action "Get Item from List" (First item).
Add the action "URL Encode" (Text: List Item).
Add another "URL Encode" action (Text: Shortcut Input).
Add the "Text" action with the following content:

Add the "Open URLs" action with the text generated in the previous step.
